Quality textbook

When I first saw this book I freaked out. Mostly due to its size. It is HUMONGOUS and weighs at least 10 lbs. I don't know yet if we are supposed to bring it to class every time. I hope not. But as to content it looks pretty good. I had physics classes before and I can tell if the authors really care about their subject and provide useful info vs. just making an 800-pages monster just to make more dough. The book is good and I intend to keep it (will not sell as a used book). It is a good reference for the future and - let's face it - very good reading :)

I needed this book for my Physics courses and this book is great because it has all 3 volumes in one. It has plenty of examples and figures to help you along in case you ever get confused.

Textbook at its finest

This book is a trophy to have on your shelf. The worked problems are completed and answered thoroughly, the illustrations and figures are crisp, and the context of the topics are presented in a way that keeps you wanting more. Few heavy textbooks in the hard sciences are page-turners: this is one of them.
