Twenty-nine years ago Eleanor Burns introduced her first Quilt in a Day book, cultivating a quiltmaking revolution. Her concise step by step directions are easy to grasp, allowing the possibility for anyone to be successful at making a quilt. Eleanor Burns gave quiltmakers techniques that compacted months into merely a day, a quilt in a day, spreading her vibrant enthusiasm within everyone. She has motivated thousands of want-to-be quilters with needed confidence and assurance. Altogether, the impact of her influences opened the door to a renewal. Her efforts sowed the seeds that have grown into many techniques that are commonly used today. Since 1978 when she self-published her first book Make a Quilt in a Day: Log Cabin Pattern, she has authored over seventy-five additional books. Lover's Knot, another wonderful resource by Eleanor Burns

I love the books Eleanor Burns puts together. My first quilting class was her Quilt In A Day Log Cabin Quilt. She makes the process easy, fun and understandable. This book looks very similar. I took a look through it and I understand now more quickly because of her technique of stripping and keeping it more easily learned and done. Pravo Eleanor Burns and company!!

Great Book

I love this book, This is my second copy, the first having been eaten by the dog(he loved the book too). The pattern is easy to follow and quick to make. There are so many color combinations you can choose. I have other quilt books as well and while some are easy most only give one size quilt to make and if you want to make a different size you must calculate it out on your own or use trial and error. This Book gives you all the sizes with yardage and binding ideas. While I like the angled corners making a square cornered quilt is also included. This is a great buy and well worth it.

Lover's Knot Quilt by Eleanor Burns

I teach beginner quilting classes and I know that if I use one of Eleanor's books, the pattern will be accurate with lots of illustrations to help you through the process. My students need to understand how to work from a pattern so that they will be able to work on their own in the future. Lover's Knot is my favorite of all of her quilts.
