This is the best version of the bible ever !!

This bible was passed on to me when I was 16 from my mother who read it herself from cover to cover when she was 16. This bible is so easy to understand cover to cover. It reveals God's love and helps youth to understand the beauty of the bible as a blueprint for life. I have not found a bible yet that can match this one! I recommend this to all..esp. youth leaders!

Just What She Was Looking For~

Our friend mentioned having one of these bibles when she first turned to Jesus. She had lost it and was reminiscing about it, looked it up and WAAALAAA, there it was! The seller sent it quickly and it was in better shape than I thought it would be! She LOVED it and was brought to tears of JOY!! THANK YOU!!

My Favorite Retro bible!

I simply love this Bible! it is my favorite for many reasons. First, it is phrased in an easy way to read. Second retains the Hebrew name of God Jehovah through out the Old Testament and this is a pluss that is sadly removed/edited out of the modern day version called The Living Translation. Very sad indeed. Likely this change must have been do from pressure from far right fundamentalists who dislike the Divine/Sacred Hebrew Name of God;(
Third, the vintage photographs from the 60's and early 70's counter culture era are great! It's pics of war protests and the like are very timely for the present. Search second hand book stores to find this gem! Bank of Books second hand book store in Ventura has been helpful in my quest!:)
